When it comes to tracking the journey some plastic has taken is very difficult, we can only hypothesise with the details, nevertheless, it is great when you can research the starting point of an item.
This was illustrated well when we found a plastic bottle lid on the beach at Par. I always try and see the makers details, but this lid really caught my eye after it had been washed and cleaned.
What we discovered was really interesting!
The bottle lid says 'distilleria caltanissetta: Averna; this is business based on Sicily. Of course, we will never know the journey this lid has taken, we can only be assured of where it started and where it ended up.
