2 Minute Foundation #2minutebeachclean

Probably my favourite charity / group linked to plastic pollution infiltrating coastlines is the 2 Minute Foundation. The group announced this week that their hard work to produce their beach cleaning stations out of plastic collected on beaches was fantastic. A real hope for the future, and putting the things we find to good use.

Although based in Cornwall, the group are a voice and inspiration around the UK and far beyond.

On my recent visit to Pentewan beach, i noticed one of their beach cleaning stations. It was a joy to see this on one of my local beaches, and a real testament to whoever raised the money to pay for it.

I love the simple analogy, it is one that i think about frequently, especially when people ask why i bother and question what difference it makes. The concept is simple, spend 2 minutes picking up rubbish on the beach each time you visit.

I firmly believe in this principle..... together we can make a difference.

A massive well done to all at the 2 minute foundation.... the hard work, dedication, belief and tenacity is both inspiring and hopeful.
