Carlyon Bay Cornwall; Polystyrene, polystyrene, polystyrene, polystyrene, polystyrene Another Beach Pollutant Regular

So today we ventured to Carlyon Bay, and thankfully avoided the rain! It was a very high tide, and we arrived just as the tide was reaching its highest point.

Lots of micro plastics along the tide line...

We found 4 plastic bottles today; this Coca-cola bottle, a pepsi cherry bottle and 2 that were unidentifiable

We had a problem today; Woody kept picking rubbish up :/ what a sad site that dogs can pick up all these pollutants :(

We found a blue Lego flipper connector and a purple 'n' Smarties lid (not photographed)
A common sight is balloons, which is illustrated in the photo below.

The high tides had shifted the sand, abd therefore, the river had completely changed trajectory

Todays biggest problem was polystyrene, it was everywhere and ranged from large pieces to micro fragments

Along the tide line was a rainbow of  micro plastics...

Stay safe x
